Lucas is napping right now after another morning at preschool. He actually ate part of a ham and cheese sandwich at school -- that is a first and I'm very excited.
The teacher said he is still pretty quiet but starting to open up a bit at school. Potty training is still hit and miss and I really hope we can get into it a bit more soon.
Amanda had her six month appointment yesterday.
She was 17 pounds and 27.5 inches long! 70% and 80%, respectively. She got some shots and has been feeling a little less than perky since last night, but she is doing fine.
She's now eating solids at three meals and still nursing like 7 times a day! I don't know how her little tummy can hold all that.

I can't believe that Amanda is already six months old!! Her first tooth poked through on July 11 and she is much happier these days.
She's back to sleeping great and eating well. She has tried a few different foods now -- apples, bananas, cereal, carrots and sweet potatoes.
Lucas is doing OK at preschool. He is the youngest one in his class so he is having a bit of a hard time with some of the older kids not being so nice to him. We're trying to teach him how to stand up for himself while still being the nice kid he is. He went pee-pee on the potty at school for the first time today and I'm very happy about that. He also tried taquitos! Not the best food, I know, but anytime Luc tries something new I am excited.Comments:Add a comment:

Let the teething begin!
Amanda is teething right now and she is determined to keep us up at night through the process.
She has ended up with Phil and I for the past two nights and I know I'm going to regret that. But when it is 3 a.m. and I know Luc is going to be up at 6:30, it's hard to think clearly.
Hopefully that first little tooth will break through very soon so we can get some sleep again.Comments:Add a comment:

Luc started preschool!
I can't believe that he is in preschool, although I don't know how long he'll be there if we don't get the potty-training thing nailed down.
He doesn't seem to love school yet, but he doesn't hate it either. He is the youngest one in the class and is really pretty shy (hard to believe!)
We are working really hard on potty-training this week, but we can't seem to get the timing right.
We'll figure it out eventually.
Amanda is doing well and growing. She isn't digging her cereal routine recently and I think I may switch her from evening feedings to morning. Of course it could all be related to the fact that she has a tooth coming in on the bottom. It is almost through.
