I just had to note that Amanda started laughing today. I think she's let out a couple of random chuckles over the past week or so, but today she really seemed to be laughing. It's very cute.

Poor little Luc is home with a fever today. He doesen't have any other symptoms besides lethargy, so we're just going to keep an eye on him.

Amanda is now sleeping in her own room!
We decided to move her there Sunday night because her arms were starting to poke out of the bassinet.
She has done pretty well and hasn't yet woken up Lucas.

Amanda had her 2 month checkup today.
She weighed in at 11 pounds, 1 ounce and was 23 inches long. She is very healthy and doc said to keep doing what we are doing. She had three vaccines today (hib, prevnar and dpt). She was a trooper and has been so good today.

Lucas is as active as ever. He is getting a little better at listening when we tell him to "stop". He got a scooter the other day and is busy learning to ride that. He's not too fond of the helmet and knee pads, but he must wear them when riding outside.

1st day back at work today. It was a struggle to get both kids and myself ready and be out the
door by 8 a.m. But we did it.
Lucas seemed especially excited to go to daycare today. I think he really doesn't like
    being around a crying baby:)
Amanda is almost 7 weeks old. She started the baby talk about a week or so ago. I
love hearing those little coos. I remember when Lucas did that, but I didn't realize
it started so early. She is awake more and more now and we're trying to stick to an
eating schedule of every 2.5 to 3 hours. She takes about 30 minutes to nurse, so I'm still
spending a great deal of time feeding her. Lucas is still doing well with the new baby.
He loves to give her kisses and "hold" her every so often.
But he does get distressed when she cries for longer than a few minutes and he is acting
out a bit when I nurse her. That is to be expected. Over all, though, he is such a
    great kid and so funny.
He'll be starting preschool at the end of June. I think he'll really do well with the
structured environment. It will just be half days.

I can't figure out how the days during my maternity leave got away from me. I certainly didn't spend my time watching too much tv, reading or playing on the computer. And from the looks of the house, it wasn't spent cleaning. Oh well, one day I'll have a schedule down again and things will be put in order.
