  Luc is so funny. He has a few pages of his favorite book memorized. By looking at the picture on the page, he can say a couple of words that are on that page. It is very cute.
  He also recognizes more than half of the letters of the alphabet if you hold them up one at a time and ask him to name the letter. It's a little bit more difficult for him to pick a letter out of a page filled with the alphabet.
  
  Luc is also eating a bit better. I have resorted to a little bit of "rewards" if he tries news things, but I was really not sure what else to do.
  He now eats a wider variety of foods, although he still doesn't like sandwiches or things like that. But he'll eat some pasta and rice with veggies and sauces.
  
  He's still waking up around 5:45 a couple of days a week. We can't figure out why. Phil usually gets him to go back down for another 30-45 minutes. We just wish we could figure out why he is waking up.

  Wanted to update on Luc's 18 month check up.
  He went in for his checkup on July 6.
  Weight: 25.5 pounds (50%)
  Height: 34 inches (90%)
  Received 2 shots (DPT/HIB and Polio)
  
  He did a bit better with the new doctor. We switched to a new doctor in the group and she is much better with Luc. She has a 1 year old, and I think that helps. Luc still cried the moment the nurse called his name, but I got him to calm down while Doc listened to his heart and checked out his reflexes. He didn't like the shots -- I don't like them either!
  He is talking more and more every day.
  Eating is still a big challenge. He had a two-hour cry-fest last night, but I won't go into the gory details. Let's just say that it wasn't pretty. I'm expecting the same tonight, but hopefully things will get easier over the next week or so.
