Lucas was baptised yesterday! He was such a good boy throughout the entire ceremony (about an hour long) and he looked adorable in his white "suit". Grandma and Grandpa McDonald treated us to a nice lunch at Casa Rea following the baptism.
Lucas had a great time seeing all of his cousins -- he especially liked looking at Aunt Katie. I think he has a crush on her:)

Unfortunately, the Luc-man has a fever today. I kept him home daycare just to make sure he doesn't develop a bad cold. Phil and I are leaving on Friday for a wedding, and Luc will be staying part of the time with Aunt LeighAnn and Uncle Joe and part with Aunt Kerri and Uncle Tommy. We don't want him to be sick for that:(

We're gearing up for Luc's baptism on Sunday.
I've got the outfit, but not the shoes.
Try finding white shoes this time of year... it's impossible. Anyway, I think we're just going to have Luc wear white socks.
The little noodle woke us up at 5:15 today. He just wanted to get up and play. We went by Starbucks before work this morning and everyone was just loving Luc. He is such a flirt -- as soon as he is around other people, he is all smiles and squeals!

I've got to give Luc a hair cut tonight -- he hates it when I try to trim his locks, but it's got to be done.

He did it again! Luc slept from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
After he woke up and had his bottle, we went on a nice morning walk. I feel great and I can tell Luc is feeling pretty good. I've got some new pics I have to put up tonight -- he is just so darn cute!
Last night for dinner Luc had spaghetti with a bit of pureed tomato and meat. He really enjoyed this new texture -- not liquidy at all -- and he ate every last bite.

Luc just loves the outside swing that Aunt LeighAnn gave him. Phil put it up yesterday and we all sat outside an enjoyed the late afternoon.
Lucas is everywhere now, and he's really starting to pull up on all the furniture. It's only a matter of time before he starts cruising around.

You would think that since he is expending all this extra energy, he would sleep better. Not!
Luc still wakes us up around 2 or 3 a.m. and is up for the day at about 5:30 a.m.
guess we have an early riser on our hands -- he doesn't take after Phil or me there.

Luc's ear infection is gone! We went to the doctor this morning to make sure everything was cleared up and Dr. Saul said Luc looked great.

On Saturday, Lucas surprised Phil and I by standing up himself. He's done that a couple of times while trying to look in the tub while I fill it up, but today he did it without something really easy to grip. He was kneeling in front of our mirrored closet doors and Phil and I were talking to each other. I glanced down at Luc and he was standing with both hands on the mirror!
He can be pretty stealthy, so Phil and I will have to watch him like hawks.

Phil picked up Luc from daycare yesterday afternoon and they enjoyed some guy time.

Luc has been trying his hand at eating crackers lately. He likes the buttery club crackers. Phil has to watch him while he eats them, though, because I can't stand it. I'd rip the cracker out of his mouth if I thought he was going to bite off too big a piece. So I am banished to the next room until Luc is finished with is treat.

Lucas loves to play "follow the mommy or daddy".
Phil or I get down on the ground and start to crawl down the hall. Lucas follows us like he is our little duckling. Then we pop out from behind the wall and say "boo".
He starts laughing so hard -- I've never heard him laugh so much. We can do this for 30 minutes and he doesn't tire of the game.

Another ear infection:(

I took Lucas to the doctor this morning because he just didn't seem "right" this weekend. Well, his ear infection is back. Probably because he got another cold late last week and it went right to his ear. He's on an antibiotic that he only takes once a day for one week. Hopefully the little guy will start feeling better soon.
I can't wait until he is out of daycare so hopefully he will get fewer colds.

Luc is vomitting about two gallons per day. That's more than his own weight in barf! His mom and I are so proud every time he blows chunks.

Two more teeth!!
I was checking out Luc's top gums yesterday and there are two more teeth poking through -- the two front teeth. That makes six teeth so far! Pretty soon it's going to be time for some real table food.

Luc and mom have a little cold today, so we're going to take it easy.
He is still trying his darndest to stand up and Phil and I are afraid he's going to be walking too soon.

Hooray, Luc slept through the night!!
For the second time in his life, Luc slept from
8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
When I heard him crying this morning, it was still dark outside, so I assumed it was time for his usual 3 a.m. bottle. But when I looked over at the clock, it was 6:07 a.m.! Let's see if he can make it two nights in a row.

Besides that, Luc has a little sniffle. I think it is probably some more teeth that are going to show themselves soon.

5 a.m. again? Lucas has been getting Phil and I up between 5 and 5:30 a.m. for the past 3 or 4 nights. I'm not quite sure what is going on -- I hope it's new teeth and not a permanent thing.

He's a funny guy, though -- his favorite thing right now is to crawl over to the long phone cord. I'll place him in the middle of the room and he'll immediately crawl over to the phone.
We're going to have to move the cordless into the kitchen.

Lucas is starting to pull up to standing! He is growing so fast, I'm afraid I'll forget what he was like as a tiny baby.
